Compensation :
$30.25 to $33.00 per hour ($50,000 to $60,000 when annualized)
Responsibilities :
- Provide on-site consultation to early childhood programs’ Infant and Toddler staff who need assistance in providing environments that are socially and emotionally appropriate for the infants and toddlers in their care, communicating and educating families in social and emotional development, and assisting the staff in their own self-care.
- Participate in ongoing continuing education which may include but is not limited to the following topics : ITMH best / evidence-based practices, Adverse childhood Experiences, Cultural diversity, Early Childhood Mental Health Assessment, and Strategies.
- Documentation of data in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in external committees, task forces, community meetings, etc. as requested to promote the program.
- Participate in state-wide and regional meetings.
Qualifications :
Dual advanced degree in Mental Health discipline and Early Childhood Education preferred. Or a master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Behavioral therapy, or other related counseling / mental health degree.
Licensed or licensed-eligible clinicians are preferred.
- Three to Five years of experience working with children and / or families and / or early childhood settings.
- Experience with adult learning, teaching, coaching, and / or training.
- Working knowledge of infant and early childhood typical and atypical development, early childhood mental health, adverse child experiences, and family systems.
- NYSAIMH Infant Mental Health Endorsed or willing to pursue endorsement.
- Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
