STAFF ACCOUNTANT II
Description : SUMMARY : Supports controlling functions and assists with preparation of monthly reports, schedules, and transactions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Assists with the monthly closing process including reconciliation of general ledger accounts, preparation of standard and manual journal entries and preparation of monthly closing package.
Compiles composite reports (monthly cash flow projections, budget to actual comparisons, etc.) that are required by management or government agencies.
Prepares various governmental and non-governmental surveys and statutory reports as required. Updates and maintains accounting related procedures and documentation as required.
Performs general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, accruals and prepaid expenses.
Assists in compiling information for the year-end audit. Provides information to managers and employees as requested and regarding account descriptions and balances.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : None Requirements : QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance required Masters degree in Accounting / Finance or in pursuit of an MBA preferred CPA or pursuit of a CPA preferred Three to seven years related experience (prefer manufacturing), SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Able to perform all activity of an Accountant I Ability to independently analyze detailed information and compile standard and non-standard reports.
Ability to communicate effectively. Intermediate skill level with of Windows operating system and Windows-based software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Experience with ERP preferable. WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The normal work environment is typical of a business office.
