Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time Addiction Recovery Professional to join our team at Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex located in Topeka, KS
Pay Rate is $65- 86K depending on license and years of experience
Under the supervision of the Facility Director of Addiction Recovery Services (ARS) and in collaboration with multidisciplinary team, the Addiction Recovery Professional conducts comprehensive substance use assessments and provides group and individual counseling for patients participating in addiction services.
This licensed professional will follow patient progress from a clinical standpoint from enrollment to discharge from addiction recovery treatment.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the behavioral health field,
- Must be licensed to provide substance use disorder treatment services in the state of Kansas (LAC, LCAC, LMAC).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of addictions
- At time of hire or during initial onsite training, must show / obtain current tuberculosis documentation, must be appropriately certified in first aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS), and automated external defibrillator (AED) use
- Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
Regular Full Time Day Shift
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences required
- Two (2) years of experience in Therapeutic Recreation or related field providing activities programming for persons who have a serious mental illness required
- Must have an active Basic Life Support certification
- Training, experience or certification as an aide, medical technician, EMT, or activities technician preferred
- Experience working in a correctional mental health setting preferred
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
