Urgent Care / MCI Clinicians provide rapid and effective crisis evaluations, support, hospitalization when necessary, linkage to community resources, and assessment documentation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Crisis evaluations are performed in a variety of settings and may be in the community, the CBHC, or in healthcare settings, either in person or via telehealth.
Urgent / MCI clinicians conduct urgent care intakes and provide brief stabilization services for clients who present to CBHC Urgent Care.
Responsibilities :
- Provides emergency crisis evaluations and all related service delivery requirements for youth, adult and geriatric populations in multiple settings, including our clinic, community-based and health care settings in the region, on-site in-person or via telehealth.
- Manages the acute phase of clients presenting in behavioral health crisis.
- Provides timely assessment, triage, and referrals to support clients with behavioral health needs.
- Conducts intakes and brief stabilization interventions for clients with urgent behavioral health needs.
- Completes accurate documentation and assessments within required time frames.
- Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with community partners.
- Utilized supervision effectively by sharing pertinent information and seeking guidance to manage high risk cases.
- Understands and abides by all AMCI, YMCI and Urgent Care performance specifications.
- Meets productivity standards as defined by estimated delivery of services (productivity is continuously assessed by program management).
- Maintains a professional demeanor at all times
- Listens and gets clarification when needed; responds well to questions. Writes clearly and informatively
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field
- License preferred (LICSW, LMHC)
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable vehicle with an ability to meet persons served in a variety of community settings
- Familiarity with CANS assessment helpful
- Computer literate in standard desktop applications such as Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole a plus
