About the Role
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Family Support Specialists to provide crisis and behavioral supports to children in foster care or to children in the community with mental / behavioral health needs.
Support Specialists will provide crisis stabilization and behavior modification interventions with assigned individuals to address impaired behavioral functioning and prevent crisis through developing positive behavior management, social competency, problem identification and resolution, effective communication.
Full Time & Part Time Openings
Responsibilities :
- Crisis management and coaching
- Conduct Parent Training, when applicable
- Participate in treatment team and professional meetings
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive behavioral health services
- Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and records accurately and timely, in accordance with agency and funding source requirements
- Implement behavioral health treatment plans
- Respond to crisis situations with the aim of de-escalating and providing immediate support
- Utilize behavior management techniques
Requirements :
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in a Social Service
- Clear background
- Valid Nevada Driver's License, automobile and Insurance
- Clear TB screening
- Infant, Children, Adult CPR and First Aid
- Experience working with at risk youth and families
