Accountant II
Details :
- Regulatory Accountant will prepare royalty reporting for Federal and Indian leases (ONRR). Responsibilities will include filing the monthly ONRR-2014 report for all EOG Resources Federal and Indian properties;
- assist and file amendments as a result of PPAs, compliance reviews, data mining, and audits; effectively communicate with multiple disciplines as necessary to ensure accurate reporting;
and, understanding and ensuring compliance with all ONRR regulations, including marketable conditions and unbundling rules.
The candidate will also reconcile royalty payable accounts monthly, testing of system enhancements and system conversion, and special projects as necessary.
Assistance with state royalties and / or severance taxes may be required as workload changes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Details :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting desired. Bachelor's or Master's degree, from an accredited institution, in an accounting related business field (e.
g. Finance), including core accounting classes relevant to the position, would be considered. CPA a plus, 3+ years of regulatory reporting experience or audit.
Familiarity with Plant Processing or Oil and Gas Revenue accounting experience with ONRR a plus. Working knowledge of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficient in MS Excel and / or SQL. Ability to gather and communicate data logically, accurately, and concisely. Position requires sound analytical ability.
Must be able to meet rigorous deadlines and work effectively with others. Must be able to perform most assignments independently with minimal supervision.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
