Position : Senior Project Manager - Pump Station and Wastewater

Location : Chicago, IL

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead a significant pump station project in Chicago, IL.

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects, specifically within the pump station and wastewater sectors.

Responsibilities :

  • Project Management : Lead and oversee a major pump station project from inception to completion, ensuring all project goals are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Pump Station and Wastewater Expertise : Utilize extensive knowledge of pump station systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic) and wastewater treatment processes (primary, secondary, tertiary treatments, and sludge management) to drive project success.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Ensure the project adheres to all local, state, and federal environmental regulations, securing necessary permits and maintaining compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Planning and Execution : Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor progress, manage deviations, and ensure timely delivery within budget constraints.
  • Resource Management : Allocate and manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Stakeholder Coordination : Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, regulatory agencies, interdisciplinary teams, and local communities to ensure project alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Quality and Safety : Oversee the implementation of robust quality control and assurance programs, ensuring all work meets high standards of safety and quality.

Requirements :

  • Experience : Minimum of 10 years of Construction Management experience, with a strong emphasis on serving as a Project Manager for pump station and wastewater projects.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bentley Systems) and project management tools (e.

g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).

Education : Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.

g., PMP, CCM) are highly desirable.

  • Local Knowledge : Familiarity with the regulatory and permitting processes in Chicago, IL is a plus.
  • References : Strong references from previous employers or clients and a portfolio of successfully completed pump station and wastewater projects.
