About The Position
Job Title : Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty : General Respiratory Therapy Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 4x12 Hr, 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience License : Current License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan Certifications : Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care- Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program Job Description : Deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gases therapy to patients.
- Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for patients in Intensive Care and General Practice Units.- Maintain clinical expertise for departmental assignments across various business units as required.
- Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other system employees regarding patient care needs.
- Adequately document all aspects of patient care.- Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs, and students as assigned.
- Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information. This position offers a dynamic work environment in a critical healthcare role supporting patient treatment and care.
