FORKLIFT OPERATORS

GENERAL SUMMARY :

HIGH REACH / STAND UP EXPERIENCE PREFERRED :

Starting Rate : $ 19.50 HOUR with $ 1 hour increases at 6 months and 1 year, etc. includes a $1.50 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift.

Responsible for the placement and retrieval of stores merchandise in reserve storage locations and replenishes merchandise in pick lines using stand-up lift equipment or other equipment as directed by supervisor.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operates a stand-up lift to replenish merchandise in the order filling areas or to put away merchandise in storage areas.
• Removes empty pallets from pick-lines and storage areas.
• Verifies inventory locations with radio frequency unit information.
• May complete daily production log.
• Meets and maintains safety, quality and productivity standards.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS :

Ability to operate a stand-up lift. Ability to operate assigned sit-down lift (corrugate function). Ability to use hand held / lift-mounted radio frequency unit.

Basic math and reading skills. Communication skills. Competency to obtain a lift operator license.

EXPERIENCE and / or EDUCATION :

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience working in an automated distribution center preferred.
• Experience with warehouse management systems applications preferred.
• Experience in automated retail distribution center preferred.
• Previous industrial equipment experiences preferred.
• Prior baler operation experience preferred (corrugate function)
