Our client, a private family partnership in Maine, is seeking an experienced Estate Manager / Facilities Manager for a full-time, year-round position.
This unique role combines hands-on management and operational oversight to ensure the efficient operation of a high-end estate.
You will be responsible for overseeing the property’s day-to-day operations, maintenance, and vendor coordination, with a focus on upholding a high standard of care and service.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of the estate, ensuring all systems function smoothly and efficiently.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment and household systems, including HVAC, lighting, hot water units, and generator.
Monitor and maintain AV and security systems, ensuring proper functionality and troubleshooting as needed.
Manage groundskeeping activities, including lawn care, snow removal, leaf blowing, and upkeep of patios and outdoor furniture.
Coordinate with and supervise external service providers and vendors for specialized services.
Handle small repairs and improvements within personal expertise and capabilities.
Ensure pool and surrounding areas are clean and organized; manage seasonal setup and removal of docks, floats, and patio furniture.
Oversee the maintenance of recreational equipment.
Maintain an organized inventory of household supplies, including cleaning products, pet supplies, and general essentials.
Oversee vehicle maintenance, coordinating cleaning, fueling, and service scheduling.
Supervise and collaborate with housekeeping staff as needed.
Preferred Qualifications :
Proven experience managing a high-end property, estate, or private residence with a focus on operational efficiency.
Strong knowledge of household systems, maintenance routines, and vendor management.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs.
Exceptional organization and time-management skills.
Positive, can-do attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
Independent decision-making ability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with vendors, staff, and family members.
This role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to providing a well-maintained, safe, and welcoming environment.
Occasional weekend work may be necessary, depending on the family’s schedule and property needs.
