DG Business Analyst

Data Governance Initiatives :

• Collaborate with Data Stewards, Data Owners, and Business Units to ensure the enforcement of data governance policies and standards.
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to document and communicate data governance requirements.
• Facilitate the development, documentation, and maintenance of the data governance framework, including data definitions, data ownership, and accountability.
• Develop and manage Data Governance dashboards and metrics to track policy compliance and data quality improvements.

Master Data Management (MDM) :

• Work with business and IT teams to ensure MDM practices are followed across the enterprise.
• Assist in defining data ownership and stewardship roles within the MDM processes.
• Coordinate MDM data requirements with various teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
• Facilitate MDM initiatives aimed at improving data synchronization and reducing data silos.

Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) Management :

• Oversee data profiling, data cleansing, and monitoring activities using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) tools.
• Collaborate with Data Quality and Data Governance teams to define and monitor data quality metrics and thresholds.
• Identify root causes of data quality issues and work with business stakeholders to implement effective remediation strategies.
• Create and maintain documentation related to data quality rules, processes, and workflows.

Requirements Gathering and User Stories :

• Conduct workshops, meetings, and interviews with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for data governance, MDM, and data quality initiatives.
• Write detailed user stories and use cases to support the implementation of data integrity and governance solutions.
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure proper implementation of data management solutions aligned with business needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

• Engage with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Finance) to understand data governance needs and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
• Support business units in understanding how data governance impacts their operations and assist in implementing best practices.
• Provide training and education to business users on MDM, DG, and IDQ tools and processes.

Compliance and Data Auditing :

• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal data handling policies.
• Conduct periodic data audits to assess adherence to governance and quality standards.
• Monitor and report on data-related risks and ensure appropriate actions are taken to mitigate those risks.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Data Governance, MDM, and Data Quality initiatives.
• Strong experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, Reltio, etc.) and Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) tools.
• Solid understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and data stewardship.
• Experience with data profiling, data quality analysis, and root cause analysis using IDQ or similar tools.
• Strong skills in documenting business requirements, user stories, and data flows.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and driving data governance initiatives.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and project management skills.
