Based in the Houston area, we are seeking a Supply Chain Analyst for a 9-12 month contract to join our team in the Energy industry.

We make the products that fuel everyday life. We refine, transport and market motor fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals, and other industrial products.

This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a significant impact on the energy sector by improving supply chain processes.

The successful candidate will work hand-in-hand with our team to optimize large complex data systems in our supply chain operations and contribute to our overall business strategy.

Job Details

Responsibilities :

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will be responsible for the following :

1. Utilize SQL & Python to analyze supply chain data, identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency and performance.

2. Develop and implement effective supply chain management strategies.

3. Coordinate with stakeholders to forecast demand and manage supply chain processes to meet these requirements.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.

5. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential disruptions and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

6. Generate and present detailed reports on supply chain metrics to senior management.

7. Participate in the selection and management of supply chain partners and vendors.

8. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the energy industry and supply chain management.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Supply Chain Analyst position should possess the following qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or similar role in the energy or oil industry.

3. Proficiency in Python or R. Experience with other data analysis tools and software is a plus.

4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

5. Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.

6. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.

7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
