As the Learning & Development Manager, Employee Development, you will be key in designing, implementing, & facilitating programs that enhance our workforce's skills to meet business needs.

We're seeking a strategic thinker who excels in execution & is passionate about employee development.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing & facilitating employee development programs throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, all-staff development, peer-to-peer learning, & team development.

Additionally, you will design & manage our skills-first learning strategy & our learning technology strategy.

You will report into the Director, Talent Management & Learning & will work hybrid from our New York City office.

You'll Get To

  • Develop an employee development strategy & roadmap aligned with organizational goals & individual career paths.
  • Develop a learning systems strategy & manage the learning technology stack (including LXP, LMS)
  • Improve the design, delivery, engagement & measurement of our learning experiences by designing strategies on how best to leverage our learning technology.
  • Adopt a skills-first learning approach to program design.
  • Identify, curate, & deliver a diverse range of learning opportunities based on our priorities & findings from skills gap analysis.
  • Audit & iterate our current development@ programs including onboarding & build a roadmap for the full development lifecycle of an employees at Squarespace.
  • Establish & promote a culture of knowledge sharing through building mentorship & peer-to-peer learning programs.
  • Work with department heads, team leaders, & people partners to assess & address team development needs with targeted interventions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of development programs using feedback, performance metrics, & ongoing assessment.
  • Establish & maintain partnerships with external learning providers. Negotiate contracts & oversee budgeting for all employee development programs.

Who We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience working in Learning & Development
  • 3+ years experience leading employee development programs.
  • 3+ year of management experience
  • Strategic vision & foresight in L&D
  • Expertise in L&D program design & delivery. Expert facilitation skills required.
  • Excellent project management & execution skills.
  • Motivated to create custom & innovative programs along with executing on the daily administrative tasks
  • Expertise in adult learning principles, learning methods (ADDIE) & instructional design.
  • Relevant L&D / HR Certifications (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP, PMP, Insights Discovery, EQi, Intercultural Development Inventory, Coaching Certification (ICF) ).
  • Proficient in multiple types of learning / HR systems & tools (Workday, LXP, LMS)

Cash Compensation Range : $148,500 - $239,200 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
