Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production.
We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The GCPL Zone Operations Support Specialist ensures GCPL facilities meet production expectations in safety, efficiency, and quality.
A successful candidate must be able to develop and lead Zone initiatives, have a strong understanding of plant processes, and facilitate actions to keep the GCPL compliant with Air Liquide and Regulatory requirements.
- Works to achieve Zero Accidents by taking a leadership role in safety
- Implements and maintains the Life Critical system within area of responsibility
- Ensures that quality standards are met an incompliance with (FDA, Customer contract requirements); MOC and Incident Reviews are consistently applied and documented
- Leads and mentors Plant Engineers to achieve GCPL targets
- Actively supports the plants to improve Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensures that all facilities are in complete compliance with all applicable government regulations (Federal, State and Local-i.e., OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Acts as the Quality Controller for selected MOC’s and participates in Safety reviews and PSSRs per the MOC procedure
- Works closely with each Basin and Plant Engineers to understand and track plant vulnerabilities and RCFA’s.
- Ensures that the Plant Efficiencies are being driven (measurement systems in support of efficiency improvement and selected initiatives) are up-to-date and used within all facilities
- Prepares start-up plans for new facilities to ensure initial operation of the plant is on-time, on-budget
- Technical and working understanding of a Air Separation plant

Required Qualifications :
- Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree required or equivalent combination of education (high school diploma required) and experience acceptable, plus 7 years process industry experience
- Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

- Technical expertise in operation, enhancement, and maintenance of the facilities
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to interface with multiple support groups and provide a clear message
