Overview
Quinn Company, your local Caterpillar store, is hiring a Lead Inventory Control Specialist in City of Industry, California.
The Inventory Control Specialist supports sales operations by ensuring that all inventory is ordered in a timely manner, accurately, and in the right configuration.
Establish min and max inventory levels to ensure that we have the right inventory at all times while maintaining acceptable inventory levels.
Help manage the amount of aged inventory on hand.
Wages
Starting wage will depend on experience and education.
Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Order, track, and receive all new Cat equipment (machines and work tools)
- Maintain acceptable inventory levels of all new work tools
- Maintain machine and work tool configurations in digital tools
- Maintain inventory integrity in DBS and Saleslink
- Conduct inventory audits Weekly and Quarterly
- Create and respond to DOCS cases in a timely manner regarding machines and work tools
- Support branches by helping them better track / manage inventory at their location
- Manage iRental inventory scanning / tracking software and equipment
- Advertise / Sell aged work tools to Used Parts, Rental Fleets, other dealers
- Assist with forecasting sales and updating Caterpillar Forecast Tools as needed to help improve forecasting accuracy
- Conduct communication with Cat on Prime Product orders regarding status, schedule, invoicing, receiving, etc.
- Keep up to date with Cat product changes and communicate changes in a timely manner to sales team
- Work with management and sales team to determine standard machine configurations for dealer inventory High volume models are priority
- Work collaboratively with Regional Coordinators, Sales Representatives, Sales Administration Coordinators, and other support departments.
Key Performance Metrics :
- Minimal to none work tool inventory write off due to lost inventory
- Help maintain inventory turns at a minimum of 3 turns
- 100% order accuracy
- 98% physical inventory accuracy

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year University and two to five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
