The Sr Director of Device Services will have end-to-end responsibility for a suite of device-based portfolio of services & products including device subscription (device as a service), device protection, and device management products.

The Sr Director will lead a group of talented product managers and lead external partnerships to drive the strategy, roadmap, launch execution and deliver on product growth metrics including P&L responsibility across this suite of products.

This role involves strong collaboration with internal and external cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of products aligned with organizational goals and will contribute to shaping the strategic vision of the device services product portfolio and effectively communicating this vision both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities :

  • Develop a clear multi-year product strategy and market-leading roadmap / capabilities for the Device as a Service (including Verizon Business Complete), Device Protection (including Total Mobile Protection) and Device Management (including VZ MDM) product suite.
  • Drive partnerships and commercial negotiations with existing and new device ecosystems & commercial finance partners for these products.
  • Drive sales / digital adoption to meet business revenue and profitability goals for these products.
  • On-time launch of committed roadmap capabilities for device protection, management and subscription products.
  • Partner with device ecosystem partners to develop capabilities, launch and resell OEM branded device services including Apple Business Essentials, Samsung Knox suite and Google Android Enterprise products.
  • Translate and operationalize high-level product visions into actionable plans, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational strategy - carrying overall P&L responsibility for the device-related products in scope.
  • Set customer, product, and business operational metrics for the products in scope and communicate clear expectations to the Product teams.
  • Take an aspirational approach to deliver products that enhance end-user experience, meet quality standards, and adhere to established timelines.
  • Provide operational leadership gathering and utilizing market & customer insights to inform product development decisions, ensuring products meet market needs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Supply chain, Marketing & Sales organizations on a detailed level to drive product development, sales / marketing execution, and enablement activities.
  • Identify and proactively manage risks associated with product development and delivery, ensuring the team navigates challenges effectively.
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics related to the device services product portfolio, taking corrective actions as needed to meet targets.
  • Streamline operational processes within the product development lifecycle, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Empower and develop the product management team, fostering a culture of operational excellence and accountability.

What we're looking for...

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a minimum of 6-8+ years in Product Management with hands-on experience in the operational aspects of developing and managing device-related products, device protection experiences preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading product teams in the operational delivery of complex & successful products, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Deep technical and commercial understanding of devices and attached services, ensuring a holistic approach to product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate market and customer insights into operational plans that drive successful product outcomes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless execution across departments.
  • Experience in identifying and mitigating risks associated with product development and delivery.
  • Track record of establishing and achieving key performance metrics for product portfolios.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on empowering and developing a high-performing product management team.
  • Excellent communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment.
  • First-hand experience with Lean and Agile development processes, with a focus on optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Highly motivated and strategically driven, and able to partner with leadership and support VZ internal and external OEM / channel partner organizations at the executive leadership level.
  • Willingness to travel as required for the role.

Where you'll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $177,000.00 and $328,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.

For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
