Preferred Qualifications
- Successful completion of a fellowship training program in gastrointestinal pathology
- Two or more years post-residency experience
- Experience in teaching medical students and residents
- Regional or emerging national reputation (for the rank of associate professor or higher)
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Unrestricted Texas Medical license or eligible for Texas medical licensure
- Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology or Anatomic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology
- Fellowship training in gastrointestinal pathology or well documented experience in gastrointestinal, pancreas, liver and biliary tract pathology sign-outs
- Experience in general surgical pathology sign-outs
- Experience in the interpretation of frozen sections
- Experience in the performance and interpretation of bone marrows
- Experience in grossing and in performing autopsies
