Position Highlights :

The Role :
The Training Program Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the training and development of OEDM’s Career Development continuing education programs.
Reporting to the Director of OEDM, this position is tasked with the planning, coordination, and oversight of post-credentialing training for Fire and Building Code Officials.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate OEDM’s post-credentialing Career Development programs, including continuing education classes, special programs, and conferences.
- Collaborate with outside instructors and trainers on program review, presentations, and performance feedback.
- Monitor classroom issues and develop best practices for existing programs.
- Ensure course and program content aligns with the Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) and Office of State Building Inspector (OSBI) standards.
- Attend and oversee Career Development continuing education classes, both live and remote.
- Evaluate and approve third-party educational credit requests.
- Review training records for compliance and develop action plans for deficiencies.
- Ensure programming meets or exceeds national and professional standards for accreditation.
- Assist the Director of OEDM with long-term strategy and planning for training programs.
Qualifications :
- Comfortable speaking with large groups and providing code-related training.
- Ability to promote a positive learning environment.
