Technology Engineer

A truly great client of ours in the Tonawanda, NY area is on the hunt for a strong Quality Engineering professional to support their facility.

Internally known as a Technology Engineer, this person will be responsible for technical activities centered around the production process, consistently updating and improving procedures to maximize quality, productivity, housekeeping, safety, and costs.

Job Title : Technology Engineer

Job Type : Full-time / Direct Hire

Shif t : Primarily C shift (Sat / Sun- 7am-7pm, Mon / Tues- 11pm - 7am) but candidates who wish to be considered for this role must be flexible / available to work all shifts as needed based on staffing levels.

Pay : $55-80k, depending upon experience

Essential functions for this Technology Engineer will include :

• Identifies processing problems that affect quality or productivity, determines the cause for such problems and supervises the corrective action that is necessary.
• Evaluates all material and equipment contributions to problems and interacts with various functional areas on needed improvements.
• Oversees the utilization of specified manufacturing and technical procedures throughout the production process, identifies elements affecting the process and makes recommendations to improve.
• Determines the cause(s) for rejected material and takes appropriate action, making decisions and providing dispositions for rejected materials.
• Will be the go-to person on shift for all quality issues in their area, training manufacturing personnel on procedures and the impact they have on the product.
• Responsible to direct hourly workforce in management of corrective action. Initiates quality or safety disciplinary action as warranted
• Develops, monitors and reports measures of production performance.
• We're looking for Technology Engineers with the following background profile :
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical science field strongly preferred; will consider relevant work experience in lieu of degree
• Quality or technical work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Supervisory work experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Solid PC skills utilizing Microsoft Excel & Word software applications
