The Chief Operating Officer (COO) ensures ongoing operational excellence across the organization. The COO manages all aspects of programmatic, design, work plan development and implementation efforts.
Leading program and project management, partner relations, as well as advancement of workstream initiatives are also critical components of this role.
Additionally, ensuring that key strategic projects are translated into actionable, quantitative, and measurable plans are the responsibilities of the COO.
The COO will also develop materials and support administrative efforts including Board of Directors and HFS activities.
Responsibilities :
- Manages program planning, design and implementation efforts ensuring success of the Healthy Community Model
- Oversee deliverables and activities associated with HFS award.
- Develop strong relationships with leadership, board of directors, staff and internal and external partners.
- Demonstrate full engagement and leadership related to project management work of the organization.
- Ensure that key strategic projects are translated into actionable, quantitative, and measurable plans and aligned with strategic priorities.
- Produces superior work in a fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous environment, meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
- Participates in long range strategic planning and development to support sustainability.
- Other duties may be assigned and required for this position.
Education and Qualifications :
- Master’s degree required or equivalent combination of bachelor’s degree and experience required.
- 5-7 years of leadership and / associated experience required.
- Strong program management skills.
- Strong communication and client management skills.
- Ability to manage details while helping to set strategic direction.
- Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Strong story boarding and slide writing skills (strong PowerPoint skills).
- Strong analytical skills (excel experience required).
- Strong people management ability.
- Experience / knowledge of healthcare preferred.
- Familiarity and interest in surrounding community preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and set priorities.
- Display solid critical, analytical, and strategic thinking and act independently using sound judgement.
- Culturally competent with empathetic mindset.
