Peachford Hospital is searching for experienced Food Service Workers / Utility Workers / Dietary Aides to work in our Kitchen / Hospital Dietary Department.
What Role Will You Play?
Food service workers in our dietary department perform a variety of roles from preparing meals to serving our patients and staff preparing trays for patients on the unit.
Utility workers are responsible for working in the dishroom, maintaining stock supplies and other support functions. A smile and a friendly attitude will help make you successful in this role as you interact with co-workers, patients and others.
Ensuring your duties are completed successfully and timely are also important in this role.
What Will You Get To Do?
Food Service Workers are responsible for completing the following duties :
- Preparing food serving line, ensuring sufficient eating utensils, trays, napkins, and paper cups.
- Serving meals in the cafeteria and assembling patient trays and galleys for delivery to the unit.
- Storing deliveries.
- Assisting with food preparation.
- Cleaning work area and washing dishes.
- Removing trash and sanitizing tables.
What Does Peachford Require for this Role?
A high school diploma, GED or equivalent is required for this role and previous food service experience is helpful.
