INSTALLATION SUPERVISOR
Under the direction of the Manager of Service and Installation, the Installation Supervisor will oversee amusement ride installations at sites around the world.
Duties :
- Train, direct and oversee on-site installation of roller coasters and amusement rides, including supervision of construction crews from iron workers to electricians and plumbers, which requires international travel and residing at various amusement park sites for many weeks at a time.
- Ensure that the ride installation complies with engineering drawings and instructions, as well as local and ASTM code requirements.
- Inspect all aspects of the ride installation process, which will include climbing to extreme heights to verify conformance to project specifications.
- Oversee the safety of all on-site workers, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards for personal protection equipment.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports of the progress of the installation project, and submit these reports to the Manager of Service and Installation and the Project Manager.
- Communicate with on-site construction crews, company management, customers, co-workers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Perform amusement ride service, maintenance, repair, and operations training of amusement park staff.
- Assist the Customer Service Department with development of operations and maintenance manuals and make short-term amusement ride site visits for technical support or customer service purposes as needed.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Perform or assist in other duties as needed or assigned.
Position Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in construction management preferred; at least 5 to 10 years' major project construction management experience required.
- Ability to travel around the world on ride installation projects, traveling approximately 150 to 200 days per year and residing at each project site for three to twelve weeks at a time, working independently under limited or no supervision.
- Demonstrated skills in all aspects of steel construction, pneumatics and hydraulics experience, ability to read and understand design drawings, knowledge and use of hand tools, and proven ability to work well with and supervise others.
Preferred skills include welding experience, electrical / electronic wiring, experience with Allen Bradley and / or Siemens processing systems, and mechanical skills.
Training and experience with all Microsoft Office products is necessary.
- Maturity; excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at problem solving; ability to use time wisely; and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be highly ethical and have the ability to maintain the confidentiality of company intellectual property, processes, and project information.
