Sample Receiving Lab Technician- (2nd shift Tues- Sat), Environment Testing, Cleveland, OH

Job Description

Are you looking to get hands on experience in an Environment Testing Laboratory? We are hiring for an entry level position in Sample Receiving.

Tuesday - Saturday 2 : 00pm-10 : 00pm with overtime as needed. Training provided and will be Tues-Saturday 1st shift hours for 1-2 months.

Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Barberton, OH are encouraged to apply.

This position has a starting rate of $18 / hr

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Prepare samples for processing.
• Distributes samples in different departments as appropriate.
• Follows strict safety and quality control procedures.
• Stores, restocks, and shelves samples as necessary.
• Ensures that work area is clean and organized.
• Enters records in LIMS system.
• Assists and oversees all the different aspects of storing, distributing and logging samples

The ideal candidate would possess :

• Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Exhibits ability to use LIMS software competently.(will train)
• Possesses basic math skills.
• Works well with a team.
• Communicates clearly and effectively.
• Demonstrates solid problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates awareness of safety procedures

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Familiar with Chemistry. HS or college level class.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for the majority of the shift. Constant bending, twisting and moving.
• Lab experiences a busier time over the summer and may need to work 10 hour days. Overtime available

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
