Axient is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our team in Huntsville, AL. Physical work location will be hybrid-situated (onsite in corporate office 3 days per week with 2 days remote), but is subject to change dependent upon business needs or other requirements.
What you will do...
Under limited direction, this position is responsible for supporting Axient in the management of contracts. Candidate will be responsible for the preparation, negotiation, acceptance and administration of contracts.
Review and approve all contractual documents for protection of company's contractual posture, satisfaction of customer specifications and adherence to company policy.
- Reviews bids and proposals to ensure they meet company policy and customer solicitation requirements.
- Participate in proposal development.
- Identifies contract issues and responds to a variety of complex inquiries.
- Participates in negotiating and modifying standard contracts and assists in negotiating and modifying non-standard contracts.
- Reviews drafts as necessary, and negotiates terms and conditions of non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements.
- May participate in cost and pricing reviews with program management and proposal center.
- Maintains an awareness of regulatory changes and their impact on contracts.
- Manages complex Department of Defense contracts; contract types include but are not limited to CPFF, CPAF,CPIF, Cost Reimbursable, T&M and FFP.
- Maintains, analyzes, updates, and develops various electronic records.
- Acts as a primary contact with customers and outside organizations.
- Represents the organization as the primary administrative contact on assigned contracts.
- Ensures all contractual policies & procedures are followed and approvals obtained from required line management personnel.
- Provides guidance to professional or technical staff on contract matters.
- Ability to perform independently.
- Work a minimum of three days per week in Huntsville, AL office.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Skills you will need...
- Minimum of 10 years hands-on services-oriented contract administration experience. Experience must be current (within the last 10 years).
- If required, must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
- Must have a complete and current understanding of government cost principles along with demonstrated expert knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and FAR supplements including NFS and DFARS.
- Demonstrated recent experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint and Word).
- Must be able to perform tasks independently and successfully with general guidance under short timelines. Must have the ability to manage shifting work priorities.
Responsiveness, flexibility, organization, and attention to detail are also required.
Must be a highly motivated self-starter with proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment.
Excellent written / verbal communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to be successful.
- Must be able to assimilate, analyze, document, and organize contract requirements and ensure contract and procedural compliance.
- Must be able to effectively manage proposal schedules, changes, claims, and enforce contract terms and conditions.
- Must be able to assist program technical personnel with contractual, administrative, and financial aspects of managing government contracts.
- Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and MS SharePoint are strongly desired.
