Job Description
Quality Assurance Specialist (QA) is responsible for the review and approval of objective evidence of quality of examination, inspection, and test results for conformance / compliance to code, FAA requirements, and customer purchase order requirements.
The QA Specialist verifies and releases the product for further processing or shipment based upon the results of the required approvals contained therein.
Additionally, the QA will assist with the safety and organization of the production shop. QA Specialists report directly to the Chief Inspector.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and maintain AS9110 Quality Management System
- Review and approve U.S. Turbine work order instructions, ensuring they contain applicable quality requirements as required by the FAA and customer purchase order.
- Review and approve documentation for compliance to order and specification requirements including- purchasing documents, material test reports, inspection and test reports.
- Release completed orders for shipment and review completed job packages for close-out.
- Develop and maintain job specific instructions and procedures.
- Prevent further processing or delivery of a nonconforming item or unsatisfactory condition until proper disposition has been made.
- Initiate, document and track nonconformance and corrective action reports.
- Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to quality problems and verify implementation of solutions.
- Assist other departments in response to quality questions.
- Participate and lead specific internal and external audits and inspections.
- Maintain calibration schedule and perform in-house calibration of tools and test equipment as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
