Responsibilities :
As the Lead Warehouse Team Member Training, you will own a critical element of onboarding for new warehouse team members in the Chick-fil-A Supply Market Distribution Center in Hutchins, TX.
You will be responsible for driving all aspects of training for experienced team members to include PIT training, cross training, efficiency coaching, certification and recertification, etc.
Additional responsibilities include partnering with building leadership to evaluate and refine existing training programs, build training for new processes and initiatives, monitor and impact training effectiveness, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
Distribution Center in Hutchins, TX
Planning, allocating, and coordinating all outbound activities in WMS / JDA
Partners with Warehouse Supervisors on movement of resources to optimize dock flow
Monitoring order changes / revisions / removals planning and executing necessary order adjustments in WMS / JDAsystem including assigning this work for completion
Coordinating with the Customer Service and Transportation teams to fulfill urgent delivery and will call request
Aligning and executing the release of work to the picking queue to facilitate staging and loading in stop order
Assignment of emergency replenishment tasks to fulfill priority / transfer orders
Printing Transfer paperwork
Coordinating with Transportation team to complete pre-load trailer inspections and manage the pre-cooling of trailers according to temperature zone specifications prior to loading
Identifying any loading issues and proactively escalating to leadership
Performing end-of-day reconciliation to validate the successful fulfillment of orders
Capable of contributing in all outbound activities as needed, including picking, replenishment, loading, etc
Minimum Qualifications :
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)
Extreme Temperature : To help maintain food safety requirements, drivers need to be able to work in rotation through extreme temperatures ( 10F to 100F).
Work is performed in all weather conditions and usually at night.
Heavy Weights : Reach, bend, and stoop while lifting up to 65 pounds per case during most of your shift. Occasionally you will use mechanical assistance to move up to 2,000 pounds.
Schedule : 4-Days per Week, Monday-Saturday, 7AM-5 : 30PM. The schedule rotates every 90 days. Fexibility is needed during weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts according to business needs.
Preferred Qualifications :
2+ years of warehouse experience
Proven record of working independently with little oversight
Exceptional attention to detail and organization
Understanding of operational priorities, dependencies, and capacities
Comfortable navigating and executing in WMS systems
Strong relationship building and communication skills across a range of stakeholders
High degree of initiative and urgency
Proactive problem solver
