You will have the opportunity to sell across all WALB digital and broadcast television platforms, providing advertising solutions to new customers that will help them generate sales and increase profitability.
This is a fast-paced and fun environment that requires persistence, organization, creativity, and interpersonal skills.
Duties / Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
- Achieve television and digital revenue goals set by the company by generating new business accounts
- Create and sell advertising campaigns and provide continuous service to advertising agencies and direct accounts.
- Assesses an advertiser's marketing needs and develops proposals & presentations to show how WALB can fulfill those needs through multi-media campaigns, commercial concepts, and / or promotional events.
- Maintains positive client and station personnel relationships.
- Makes presentations to advertisers' key decision-makers in written and / or visual form.
- Manages client-chosen solutions and provides excellent customer service to clients.
- Provides management with timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual budget forecasts.
- Maintains an understanding of local market ratings, competitive media, station strengths, industry, and product knowledge.
- Create reports as needed
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
- years of Sales experience OR a background / education in Business / Marketing / Digital Advertising
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Ability to use creativity to solve problems
- Ability to develop campaigns and motivate others
- A real desire to understand your clients and their businesses
- A thirst for ongoing learning : advertising, marketing, television, digital
- Experience selling digital products / strategies including audience targeting, social media, PPC, SEO preferred.
- Knowledge of presentation software, MS Office products
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Must represent company with professionalism and integrity
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Clean Driving Record-Must meet Gray Television's driving requirements and have a valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation and vehicle insurance required
