Job Title : Construction Administrator

Job Location : Onsite

Job Overview : We are seeking a knowledgeable and organized Construction Administrator to manage and oversee administrative tasks in our construction projects.

The Construction Administrator will be responsible for coordinating project activities, including estimating, expediting, material management, data entry, and liaising with stakeholders.

As this is an onsite position, the ideal candidate should have prior experience in the construction industry and a firm grasp of construction operations and procedures.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinating all administrative tasks related to construction projects, from inception to completion.
  • Working closely with project managers, architects, engineers and other construction professionals.
  • Handling and processing project documentation, including change orders, purchase orders, and contractor payments.
  • Compiling and maintaining project data and progress reports.
  • Organizing and tracking project schedules and timelines.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.
  • Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Attending project meetings, taking minutes, and maintaining relevant project data.
  • Assisting in the resolution of possible disputes or problems arising onsite.
  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Higher education in a construction-related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in the construction industry, particularly in an administrative or supervisory role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction operations and processes.
  • Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Strong numeracy and financial management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • On-the-job safety mindset and a commitment to procedural compliance.
