Position Overview
We are currently seeking a General Assembly Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to join our team! Navistar has an exciting opportunity for a General Assembly Manufacturing Operations Supervisor in the Springfield Assembly plant.
The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor role directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives.
Position will develop schedules and workforce requirements for assigned areas and select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Responsibilities Drive safety improvements, behaviors and a strong culture of safety in the plant. Responsible for leading and supervising up to 30+ hourly employees in the plant.
Drive to quality and production performance metrics Allocate staffing and coverage, foresee production issues and diminish down-time Communicate across multiple functions including engineering, quality, supply chain and other production departments in the manufacturing plant to ensure production goals are met Develop and maintain standard work instructions Ensure employees are heard, ideas are shared, and drive a culture of continuous improvement Support problem resolution, root cause analysis and corrective action tracking and sustainment Lead by example with the TRATON core values Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 3 years of production / manufacturing experience OR Master’s degree At least 1 year of production / manufacturing experience OR At least 5 years of production / manufacturing experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
