• Shift Timings : Morning Shift 09 : 00 - 17 : 30 Hours.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
• Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
• Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
• Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
• Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
• Tracking surgical supplies.
• Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
• Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.
• Helping provide great patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified ST; 8 or 10 hour shifts with start and end times ranging between the hours of 09 : 00-20 : 30 (flexible shifts);
• Call based on department needs
• Rotating weekday and weekend call shifts
• Need at least 2 yrs of ST experience with cardiothoracic experience required
• May need to float to other hospitals within a 40 mile radius

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current Certified Surgical Tech experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited certified surgical tech program
• Active unencumbered Surgical Tech Wisconsin state license
• One year of Epic experience
