The Office Assistant utilizes a consultative approach to provide timely technical and administrative support to Uriah Products.

The position will interact with internal teams to troubleshoot problems, set up equipment, update programs, analyze workflows, establish priorities, and set deadlines.

What will I do?

IT Aspect :

  • Install, configure, and test new workstations and software.
  • Assist with issuing and revoking user access and login credentials for onboarding and offboarding.
  • Communicate with internal customers to diagnose problems and provide resolutions.
  • Provide on-call support for operational emergencies.
  • Document fixes, procedures, and configuration changes.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment, software, and software licensures.
  • Escalate and track complex issues with appropriate third-party vendors.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues promptly.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure proper computer operations.
  • Assist with software roll-outs and upgrades.
  • Manage remote user connectivity and access.
  • Identify and communicate obstacles and solutions that impact operations with team members and management.
  • Establish IT policies and systems to support strategies.
  • Inspect company technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  • Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software as necessary.
  • Conduct security audits and implement security measures to protect against cyber threats.
  • Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
  • Ensure that all hardware and software is up-to-date and patched regularly to protect against security vulnerabilities.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.

Admin Aspect :

  • Provide administrative assistance to various departments as required.
  • Manage and maintain office supplies inventory.
  • Assist in organizing company events and meetings.
  • Perform data entry, filing, scanning, and photocopying tasks.
  • Assist in managing office equipment and coordinating repairs as needed.
  • Assist in workstation setup.

Position requirements :

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an IT support role, or a combination of work experience and education, is required.
  • Experience supporting a broad range of desktop operating systems and applications including Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Google Suite, content management systems (CMS), order fulfillment, and inventory management systems.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to be covered under the company's automobile insurance is required.
