As the National Business Development Director for Cherry Bekaert's Technology and Life Sciences industry, you will work in close partnership with the Technology Industry leader on the strategic plan and execution of growing the Firm's client base.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities and nurturing existing relationships to achieve year-over-year growth.

As an industry-focused Business Development Director, you will collaborate with partners, consultants, regional BDs, and other professional staff to improve Cherry Bekaert's national market position in the Technology space and to expand new business growth across the U.

S.The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid understanding of the technology and life sciences industries and a proven track record of successfully leading strategic initiatives.

This individual would ideally be located in Boston, Raleigh or Charlotte.

What you bring to the role :

  • A minimum of 8 years sales experience in a B2B or professional services environment
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous experience selling to Technology clients preferred
  • Transparent communication style; able to work through challenges and gain consensus
  • Proven project management skills
  • The ability to inspire others through collaboration, mentorship, and diplomacy
  • A client service mindset and consultative approach
  • Familiarity with research tools and strategies used to build strategic targets; prospecting skills
  • Understanding of proposal responses and content positioning strategy
  • Experience with solution selling into the C-Suite of middle market businesses
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience utilizing a CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and new business initiation goals
  • Mature understanding of the life cycle of businesses
  • Ability to travel; up to 35%

The hiring base salary range for this position is $150K-$185K with a high potential in additional variable comp. Final offers will take into consideration experience, location, and budget.
