This role requires the person to be onsite.
Responsibilities :
- Support on-time GPDS deliverables in support of the following content :
- Create Logical schematics to support the Final Schematic development
- Develop and complete the Power Distribution and Grounding Strategy
- Create DT program structure and assign DTs to D&R leads in VSEM
- Issue DCRs and mark-up schematics as required
- Lead the DCV EBB Power-up and Root Cause Analysis
- DCV YB Rework Instructions where required
- DCV Trim Build Reworks, Build Support and Root Cause Analysis
- Bus Queries on BBs / YBs / EBBs / Vehicles as needed to confirm SW pedigree and flash updated SW to latest releases
- Update any Systems FMEA where required
- Complete System Integration DVPs for any Regulatory Compliance Demonstration Requirements
- Lead and issue any deviation for sign-off on SDS, ES Spec, etc
- Complete Functional / Functional Anomaly / KOL / KOL Anomaly Testing on prototype and production launch vehicles
- Develop and track the SW BOM and MSR files for production launch for FP specific SW or calibration
- Triage System related issues on BBs / YBs / EBBs / Vehicles and draft an D until module exhibiting issue is identified to hand-off D to be completed
- Sign-off on SW releases in Healthchart for Systems Line in IVS
- Root Cause any System / Electrical / Wiring issues on BBs / YBs / EBBs / Vehicles
- FEDE requirements and assessments. This includes signed evidence of test completion / compliance to all RQT-xxxx-xxxx / xx, REG-xxxx-xxxx / xx and all Engineering
- Interface daily with other D&R engineers, attribute teams, suppliers, manufacturing, and management to ensure parts comply with required specifications and critical decisions are made efficiently.
- Lead and facilitate Compatibility Reviews and TDRs from FDJ through PEC milestones
- Support EOL validation ahead of production builds and root cause DTC issues to resolution
- Support Netcom with Network topology, DCV Message List, Part II Diagnostic Spec Release as well as VSCS Spec development
- Support CAE Analysis
- Obtain access to all necessary engineer applications ( FEDE DVP TCe, WERS, AIMS, JIRA, Wiki, Connected Data Sites, Share Point, MPNR, DCR database, VSEM, FEDEBOM, eDeviation, etc.)
Qualifications :
- BS Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent); Master's degree preferred
- years experience in automotive electrical systems
- Understanding of GPDS deliverables and basic Ford engineering tools (FEDE BOM / WERS / Bill of Material / AIMS / Ds / FEDE DVP / Engineering Sign Off / DFMEA / Six Sigma)
- Experience launching new vehicles
- Ability to handle complex tasks and complicated situations under compressed timing
- Outstanding planning, organizational and project management skills with accurate follow-up to accomplish multiple objectives
- Strong Leadership Behaviors with proven ability to drive and deliver results
- Effective written and oral presentation skills
- Ability to build strong effective relationships with multi-functional teams (Program, Studio, Purchasing, Core Body Engineering, VE, VI, VO)
- Passion for performance vehicles is desirable
- Experience with CAN tools, Module Software flashing, CAN network troubleshooting, Bus Queries, CAN log and data collection, Vehicle configuration (VSCS)
