This is a highly visible role at our care center whereyou would get involved in many different areas of our business! You would bedirecting the overall administrative, billing and accounting of our skillednursing center’s business office in accordance with all applicable laws,regulations, and Prestige Care standards.

In this job, everyday you will
1. Manages business office systems in accordancewith Prestige procedures including completion of daily, weekly and monthlytasks and non-negotiables.
2. Maintains accurate and up to date records ofbusiness office functions including accounts receivable (A / R), accounts payable(A / P), admissions and census numbers, resident insurance information andfinancial files, bank deposits, petty cash and resident trust accounts.
3. Performs routine billing processes by ensuringbilling is set up, billed and collected in a timely and accurately manner.
Identifies, researches and corrects billing discrepancies.
4. Manages collections of all receivables accordingto Prestige procedures and document efforts within billing system. Partnerswith Administrator and regional support to problem solve and collect ondifficult accounts.
5. Assists with the admission process for newresidents by verifying payer source and completion of admission forms.
6. Completes month end close within designatedtimeframe, participates in monthly A / R review and completes necessary reportsas required.
7. Provides prompt, professional and courtesycustomer services to residents, family members, vendors and outsiderepresentatives.
Communicates with residents and / or responsible partiesregarding bills and financial obligations.
8. Manages petty cash and resident trust accounts.Ensures accounts are balanced and update to date according to state regulationsand Prestige policy.
9. Maintains in-depth knowledge of skilled nursinginsurance billing including Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, HMOs, andco-insurance and stays apprised with industry changes regarding covered chargesand billing best practices.
10. Participates as part of the leadership team byactively contributing in problem solving, decision making, center andcompany-wide initiatives and attending leadership team meetings such as standup, Triple Check, Utilization Review (UR), Quality Assurance PerformanceImprovement (QAPI), and other meetings as required.
Education & Experienceyou need to qualify :
- Two years’ experience working in business officeincluding managing accounts receivable required.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and haveexperience using accounting software.
- Experience with skilled nursing and knowledge ofMedicaid and Medicare billing preferred.
- Ability to work independently to prioritizeresponsibilities and meet deadlines.
