Summary

As a key member of our finance department, the Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors.

Job Duties

  • Oversee the entire accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
  • Manage and supervise the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review and approve invoices, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
  • Monitor and manage the AP aging report to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of accounts payable transactions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient processing of AP transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits related to accounts payable.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of the AP process.
  • Stay updated on current trends and best practices in accounts payable management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
  • Experience with accounting software and systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Certification in accounting or finance (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
