About the Team
Our legal team provides support to all aspects of TikTok Shop. We are looking for talented, humble, globally-minded attorneys who are technically savvy, are comfortable with ambiguity and are strong team players.

Responsibilities :
- Work with legal and product teams globally to review products, features, and new initiatives to provide legal risk mitigation strategies when launching new products, features, and initiatives in the US
- Provide expert advice and guidance on a wide range of e-commerce matters with a focus on consumer protection, B2B and B2C engagement, pricing, payments, promotions, and intellectual property
- Partner closely with local and global stakeholders in legal, privacy, and public policy, to deliver projects against short timeframes, setting appropriate priorities and managing legal risk
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of TikTok e-commerce initiatives through review of the consumer disclosures, policies, and terms and conditions applicable to our users / customers / partners and support for feature development
- Manage a small team of lawyers and contribute to developing guidelines for the business, improving processes, internal training, and simplifying workflows
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Member in good standing of a state bar
- Extensive legal experience, including in-house experience preferably at a technology company
- Knowledge of US laws as it applies to platform providers and e-commerce platforms
- Experience in platform liability, intellectual property, consumer protection, regulatory and compliance schemes for new technology and e-commerce products
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills in a cross-functional and global role
- Ability to work independently on many different projects at once in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to effectively interact with all levels of colleagues
- Self-starter with a willingness to learn, sense of humor, and positive attitude
- Prior experience related to product counseling for a marketplace platform is preferred.
