CADD Technician or CADD Designer with OpenRoads Drainage & Utilities (ORD DU) software package experience to work in our BGE inc Austin offices (North Austin Louis Henna Blvd) or South Austin (Airport Blvd).
Responsibilities :
- Use OpenRoads Drainage & Utilities (ORD DU) software package to perform accurate drafting and annotation for plan, profile and detail sheets for roadway drainage plans.
- Complete redlines for modification of existing plans and notes or preparation of new details or design elements.
- Complete construction plan sets by compiling all plan, profile, note and detail sheets to present a comprehensive design.
- 100% daily onsite role (No remote or hybrid flexibility).
Requirements :
- 2+ or more years of experience in civil engineering drafting and design ideally in roadway / highway / drainage.
- Technical degree or certification ORD DU.
- Demonstrated experience without technical degree or certification may be considered.
- Ability to become proficient in both drafting programs listed above is expected.
- Experience working with engineers and senior designers.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work in a fast paced environment dedicated to meeting deadlines.
- Have a working knowledge of CADD standards, features and annotation styles, line styles, sheet set manager and drawing setup.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing multi-step tasks.
- Willingness to learn and expand capabilities.
- Ability to work in a team and work well with others.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
