Lusardi Construction is looking for an efficient Payroll Administrator (PRA) to join our team who will be responsible for all payroll processes.
The payroll administrator's duties include the management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, computing wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.
To be successful, the payroll administrator should have strong numerical skills and be able to multitask effectively. Ultimately, an outstanding payroll administrator should be able to manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner.

Duties / Responsibilities :
- Process, prepare, verify, and distribute weekly payroll in ADP Workforce Now and Timberline / Sage 300 for 200 employees
- Manually collect, review and correct timesheets
- Calculating payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions
- Prepare and issue earnings statements
- Issue paychecks and manage direct deposits
- Prepare required tax filings and other reporting
- Process employee garnishments, notify and respond to appropriate parties, and maintain employee garnishment files
- Ensure account balances are correct
- Review new hire files, direct deposit set-ups, federal / state W-4 changes, status changes, rate changes, terminations, and other various payroll changes
- Research, analyze, and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Review accrual information related to vacation and sick time
- Provide information and answer employee questions about payroll-related matters
- Collaborate with the human resources department to maintain employee data
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understand and follow applicable provisions
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs (ADP Workforce Now, Timberline / Sage 300)
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to policy and procedure
Education and Experience :
- High school diploma / GED required
- 3+ years of experience working as a Payroll Administrator or similar role
- Knowledge of State Prevailing Wage and Federal Davis-Bacon wage requirements preferred
- Experience working in the construction industry is a plus
The pay range for this position of employment is expected to be between $36-$40 / hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
