NAFI Rhode Island is currently seeking dynamic and energetic Youth Counselors for our adolescent group home located in Warwick RI.
Youth Counselors provide direct oversight and supervision of residents in the milieu; ideal candidates are eager to engage and interact with the teens in the program;
and act as a role model and caring adult to residents.
Job Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to :
Ensuring the comprehensive fulfillment of residents' physical and emotional needsFacilitating problem-solving among residents and nurturing peer relationshipsOrganizing and orchestrating special activities and projects tailored for the youthStimulating engagement among teenagers through pro-social and constructive activitiesDiligently observing and meticulously documenting youth activitiesExecuting the daily schedule with precision and adaptabilityOffering adept de-escalation and crisis intervention support when necessaryActively participating in scheduled staff meetings
Educational requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s Degree preferredResidential experience is a plus.
