Our client is seeking aCivil / Structural Designer for their Pittsburgh PA office. TheSenior Designer shall be responsible for performing the design workindependently based on project requirements and engineeringdesigns.

to learn and diligent tocomplete the assignments on time. This position requires CADknowledge and experience. The successful candidate shall have thefollowing specificresponsibilities :
- Conceptualizeand prepare plans layouts sections details and bills of materialsto accurately convey construction or fabricationrequirements.
- Develop designsconsistent with good practices client requirements and conformanceto codes and standards and coordinate with engineers and otherdesigners for carrying out the design work and to meet theschedules of thedeliverables.
- Review project scopeand vendor information and assist in designplanning.
- Coordinate with associatesin other departments asrequired.
- Identify and resolve anypotential conflicts problems changes or deviations indesigns.
- Perform selfreview of allthe design deliverables prepared for accuracy andconstructability.
- Adherence to thedepartment s design standards and assist others to ensurecompliance in the designs and updating them asrequired.
- Able to communicateclearing and articulately verbally and inwriting.
- Senior Designer may directguide and check the work of a team of CAD designers and CADdrafters on aproject.
Requirements
Minimum710 years experience in civil and structural designs of buildingsand equipment foundations (spread mat and pile);
structural steel for mill buildings auxiliary buildings equipmentsupport structures and operating platforms masonrybuildings.
- Experience with heavyindustrial facilities.
- Knowledge andexperience of Revit AutoCAD2D is required. 3D knowledge andcapability preferred as is experience withNavisworks.
- Associate degree inCivil Engineering or Related Field ispreferred.
- Familiarity withMicrosoft Office (Word Excel PowerPointOutlook)
- Minimum 7-10 years experience in civil and structural designs ofbuildings and equipment foundations (spread, mat, and pile);
structural steel for mill buildings, auxiliary buildings, equipmentsupport structures, and operating platforms, masonry buildings.
Experience with heavy industrial facilities. Knowledge andexperience of Revit AutoCAD-2D is required. 3D knowledge andcapability preferred, as is experience with Navisworks.
Associatedegree in Civil Engineering or Related Field is preferred.Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Outlook)
