Overview

Purpose Statement / Position Summary : The Neurophysiologist Monitoring Technician assists in the performance of a variety of neuro-diagnostic studies to include EEG, evoked potentials and specialized studies in the in-patient (including the EMU / epilepsy monitoring unit) & out-patient setting.

Provides support with duties designed to be flexible to meet the specific needs of the department and the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).

Uses the EMU monitoring equipment to provide feedback to patient / family and the REEG. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care.

Consistently demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care. The Neuro-diagnostic Assistant does not perform procedures.

Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience : 1+ years working in a patient care environment. Pediatric experience preferred.

Familiar with basic computer knowledge with emphasis on Word and Excel.

Education / Licensure / Certification : High school graduate or equivalent, American Heart Association BLS required.

Pay Scale Information

$44,304.00-$76,544.00

CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.

Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.
