Position summary :
Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Electrician to perform maintenance operations in the Austin , TX area.
This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway lighting repair and maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Required Experience :
Licensed Electrician At least Apprentice Level
2 5 years minimum prior experience in highway lighting maintenance and / or facility lighting maintenance
Preferred Experience :
Journeyman level Electrician’s License or ability and desire to obtain
MOT (Maintenance of Traffic) certifications
Bucket truck experience
Signal experience a plus - Traffic signals troubleshooting, maintenance and / or programming experience
Clean driving record is essential - Valid Driver’s License is required
Must pass criminal background check
Qualifications :
High School Diploma / GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance / drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
Ability to operate hand / power tools
Schedule :
Full time; Day, Mid and Night shift available. Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.
