Maintenance Technician Senior Living Community

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients’ team at (1) of their properties in Wayzata, MN (55391) The ideal candidate will have 3 years’ experience in residential maintenance, have experience with unit turns, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient.

Boilers license and CPO certification are required. EPA is preferred. This role is contract to hire (30-90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (1) Senior Living community with 300 units that include 55+ Senior Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Long-Term Care

Salary : $25 / hour This role is contract to hire (30-90 days before conversion).

Schedule : Weekly schedule : Monday-Friday 8 : 00-4 : 30 and On Call every 5-6 weeks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for working independently as well as participating in team initiatives to execute assignments by site leadership.

Create a safe and secure environment by maintaining the buildings, grounds, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices.

• Completion of daily work orders
• Building, grounds, and equipment maintenance
• Painting
• Apartment turns
• Building maintenance
• Customer requests
• Snow removal
• Pool care
• Other projects as assigned

Qualifications and Experience :

• At least 3 years’ experience in residential maintenance and have experience with unit turns.
• Boilers license and CPO certification are required.
• EPA is preferred. Experience in unit turns.
• Able to work independently, multitask, follow directions and work under supervision.
• Relate well and provide a professional image and services to all customers.
• Demonstrated compatibility with company’s mission and operating philosophies.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
• Must be able to participate in an afterhours emergency on-call rotation consisting of one week on-call at a frequency depending on the size of the on-call group.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation as this role will eventually be participating upon conversion.
• Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
