Laboratory Technician

Kelly Science is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join a client located in Springhouse, PA.

Pay : $25 / hour

Shift : Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Employment type : 6+ month contract

Job Duties Include :

• Assist in all aspects of experiments to evaluate new technologies for disease control and fruit quality, including, but not limited to :
• Media preparation, microbiological culturing, and isolation of fruit-borne fungal pathogens
• Preparation of test materials and fungal cultures testing
• Application of test materials to fruits and vegetables
• Assessments and measurements of product efficacy, including disease and fruit quality measurement.
• Accurately recording data into spreadsheets and databases
• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
• Operate a motor vehicle to-and-from to the supermarket to obtain produce needed for testing possible once a week or once every two weeks. Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology or a scientific related field
• Previous experience utilizing aseptic techniques and working within a laboratory environment.
• Able to learn quickly, follow protocols, and comfortable asking questions.
• Valid Drivers license
