HARDWARE STORE MANAGER - BUENA PARK

Ganahl Lumber Buena Park is looking to welcome a Full -Time Hardware Store Manager. We are looking for someone that has integrity, great hospitality, and is a strong leader.

We are looking for an individual that will be open minded and get creative with our current store space to stock the right products to service our customer base.

This will be a fun position to be constantly evaluating and tackling a growing product assortment.

A successful candidate shall embrace most of the following responsibilities

• Embrace a high level of Ganahl hospitality.
• Able to build lasting relationships with our customers.
• Provide continuous coaching and mentoring to team members to ensure strong understanding, open communications, and clearly defined team focus on projects, goals, and expectations.
• Hiring, developing, and managing store staff.
• Manage employee work schedule.
• Yard opening and closing duties.
• Collaborate with vendors.
• Responsible for budgeting.
• Oversee proper end cap rotation and stack-out displays.
• Stocking and merchandising shelves.
• Orders merchandise.
• Evaluates current product assortment from a SKU rationalization and stock level perspective.
• Manage proper inventory levels to maximize turns and GMROI.
• Develop new ideas for continued growth.
• Understands how to use the cash register.

Physical Requirements

• Lift 75 pounds frequently. Examples : Foundation bolts, 5 gallon paint pails, concrete.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, twist, push / pull, stoop, kneel.
• Safely use rolling stairs.
• Ability to work at heights of 25’ or more infrequently.

Requirements

• Retail sales experience
• Direct report manager experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
