Great! We’re looking for top talent to grow with our firm. Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do : TranSystems is looking for a Survey Crew Chief who will perform and lead crew members in activities on a wide variety of surveying projects for public and private sector clients.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions : Take instructions and follow directions. Lead survey crew in executing field surveys accurately and efficiently.

Supervise other survey crew members in proper surveying techniques and equipment operations. Provide survey crew leadership in vehicle, instrument and equipment care and maintenance.

Develop thorough and accurate field notes, survey reports and calculations. Proactively provide routine communications to supervisors and administrative support staff.

Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management. Must be available to travel and work overtime occasionally.

Qualifications What you bring to our firm : Associate degree in surveying / geomatics, civil engineering, or related field preferred SIT or PLS preferred Certified Survey Technician, Level II or III (CST) or ability to obtain within specified timeframe Proficient with business software such as Outlook, Excel, and Word A minimum of 5 years survey experience with Survey Crew Chief experience.

MD SHA and route survey experience considered a plus Position requires comprehensive knowledge of GPS surveying including static, fast static, RTK, and VRS.

Proficiency with field survey instruments (Leica ) Proficiency using laptop computers and data collection software. Must be a self-starter and work with little guidance.

Must be able to work independently or as part of a survey crew as required. Must be available to travel and work overtime occasionally.

Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
