We are looking for a drafter who is organized, detail-oriented, efficient, and experienced in industrial automation electrical control systems to help us support our team and customers.
Automation Solutions creates innovative custom machine control solutions. During the past 25+ years, we have provided industrial automation systems, machines, services and components to machine builders and end-users throughout the world.
We occupy a unique niche as both a Factory Authorized Systems Integrator and an Authorized Distributor for many quality automation lines.
Essential responsibilities :
- Create accurate, detailed electrical schematic and layouts drawings based on sketches and instructions provided by our engineering team.
- Ensure continuity of design and documentation by ensuring as-built changes are captured on both the drawings and BOMs.
- Be the librarian of our technical documentation and maintain the organization of it to support the rest of the teams.
- Provide excellent customer service while providing our customers with drawings and documentation.
- Be a positive team member while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Industrial Automation Knowledge and Experience :
- Thorough familiarity with industrial control components and terminology.
- Fluent in ANSI Y32.2 / IEEE and IEC electrical schematic symbols and layouts.
- Willing to embrace Automation Solutions drafting standards and practices.
- AS degree in drafting or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCad (DraftSight).
- Functional understanding of UL508A and NFPA79 standards.
- 5+ Years of experience. (Flexible for the right candidate)
