This role will focus on Apparel Graphic and Print Design for our Events and Inline Graphic Tee & Fleece product. Having strong ideation ability, a deep understanding of print and graphic trends, and being digitally savvy are imperative to success in this role.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Work collaboratively with Design Leadership and respective team members to produce brand relevant apparel graphics, trims, etc.
that reflect New Balance's DNA and standards.
- Prepare and deliver effective design presentations (visually and verbally) that sell ideas effectively.
- Assist the design team in creating and maintaining design boards throughout the design process.
- Demonstrate flexibility / adaptability, strong organization skills, and the ability to multitask overlapping projects and calendars.
- Actively research current and emerging design trends and visual culture.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams on a regular basis (category leads, apparel designers, merchandisers, and developers).
- Build and manage tech packs. Clearly communicate strike off comments with vendors.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS :
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Apparel Design, or related design field.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in sketching, illustration, print and pattern, color theory and layout.
- Advanced user of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (CLO 3D a plus).
- Basic understanding of garment construction.
- Attention to detail and experience multitasking under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of screen printing & other graphic applications, trim development, and surface design.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

New Balance Associates currently work in the office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations.
To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
