The IT Operations Manager, recognized as key personnel for Task Area 5, is essential for managing the overall operational integrity of the EOIR IT enterprise environment.
This manager carries the responsibility of overseeing both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring network systems and applications remain optimal, resilient, and high-performing.
As an enterprise watch officer, the Operations Manager is charged with maintaining the continuity of daily tasks while managing other key personnel, effectively keeping all systems at peak performance levels.
A significant part of this role involves ensuring operational stability during contract transition periods. The Operations Manager must work closely with the COR / GTMs, following existing change management processes meticulously, to guarantee there are no negative impacts causing outages or service disruptions.
Regularly providing incident reports and task status to the Government leads or GTMs underlines the need for an individual who is not only technically skilled but also adept in communication and reporting.
An active Public Trust Security Clearance is a prerequisite for this position.
Note : Position is contingent on contract award.
Requirements :
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must maintain an active Public Trust Security Clearance.
- Roles and responsibilities may adapt according to future contractor requirements.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Bachelors in Comp Sci / IT and 8 yrs related experience OR Masters and 6 yrs related exp
- Previous experience in a government or enterprise IT environment is preferred
- Extensive experience managing IT operations, including infrastructure and systems administration.
- Familiarity with both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure management.
- Proven track record of leadership and effective team management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills, with a capacity to produce clear and timely reports.
- Proficient in change management processes and ensuring compliance with defined protocols.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise daily operations to maintain the health of the EOIR IT enterprise environment.
- Oversee the on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure, systems, and application services.
- Lead and manage other key personnel, ensuring collaborative and efficient team performance.
- Facilitate the seamless transition of contract responsibilities with a focus on operational continuity.
- Adhere strictly to the change management protocols to mitigate system risks and maintain service availability.
- Provide weekly incident reports and task statuses to Government leads and GTMs.
- Act as an enterprise watch officer, proactively addressing potential issues before they impact operations.
