Benefits : use of a service van, a company bonus scheme, a company pension scheme, 5 weeks annual paid leave, plus statutory holiday days.
Hours of work : 8.30 to 5.00 Monday to Friday.
We are now seeking to recruit a Machine Tool Service Engineer who would be responsible for both workshop and off-workshop service and repair of new and used conventional and CNC machine tools.
The Position :
- Travel to customer sites to decommission machinery purchased for stock, or to install machinery sold by the business.
- Provide first line on-site breakdown and service functions.
- Join our in-house machinery preparation team to help receive both new and used machine tools into the showroom, help to install them, power them up, identify any issues on receipt, and prepare the machinery for customer demonstration and ultimate dispatch.
Requirements :
- Apprentice trained or equivalent qualifications with previous experience in an industrial environment.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical systems and ideally some electrical knowledge.
- Familiarity with fault finding in machine tool or industrial plant systems, ideally including CNC control systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Must hold a driving license.
